Jon How

Jon is owner/operator of Freshwater Outboard & Sport. His wife, Shannah and four children fill his time with joy and homelife.

Bart Johnson

Bart is the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs for Minnesota North and also raises beef cattle with his dad. His wife, Jessica is involved in the music ministry and writes in her spare time. She (Jessica) also serves as the church librarian. They, along with their children enjoy spending time at the cabin and involvement in various sports.

Roy Johnson

Roy is a retired educator and current beef farmer. He and his wife, Cheryl, love to spend time with their many children and grandchildren. Roy enjoys hunting, constructing, restoring and he also enjoys gardening with Cheryl.

Randy Junker

Pastor Randy served faithfully, with his wife Debbie, as the lead pastor of Grand Rapids Alliance church for 28 years. He stepped away from the lead pastor position in 2020 but still serves a vital role in the ministry for the Lord here at GRAC. They have four children and seventeen grandchildren. Their son, Nathan, went to be with the Lord in 2009. They love spending time with family.

Ken Miller

Ken is owner/operator of Miller Vending. His wife, Kathy is a retired elementary school teacher. The Millers have two grown children and five grand children.

Karl Myers

Karl teaches 5th grade in Grand Rapids School District. His wife, Naesa is a nurse. They have three teenagers. They enjoy spending time playing, participating in sports and doing outdoor activities.

Jody Schussman

Jody is retired from the concrete construction industry. He was born and raised on a farm and continues to have a passion for farming. His wife, Colleen is retired from her Human Resource position with the school district. The Schussman’s enjoy spending time with their 4 grown children and 12 grandchildren.

Mike Weedman

Mike is recently retired after owning and operating an appliance repair business for 20+ years. His wife, Renee is also recently retired from the school district as a paraprofessional. Both love family time, canoeing, gardening and woodworking. The Weedmans have three grown children and nine grandchildren.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Responsible for the care and upkeep of all church properties

DESIGNERS/DECORATIONS TEAM

Maintain a welcoming physical and visual atmosphere within the Grand Rapids Alliance Church

DIACONATE (Deacons and Deaconess’)

Oversee the care list, prayer chain, benevolent fund, communion elements preparation

DISCIPLEMAKING MINISTRIES COMMITTEE

Oversee Sunday School, VBS, AWANA, Youth Ministries, Children’s Church, Adult Bible Studies, and other such ministries

FELLOWSHIP COMMITTEE

Oversee the church fellowship events such as potluck meals, weddings, showers and other events of this type

MINISTRY BOARD

Receive reports from various church ministries and coordinate the work of these ministries

MISSIONS COMMITTEE

Assist the Pastor(s) in administering the missions program of the church

RECORDING SECRETARY

Record the minutes of the membership meetings, Ministry Board meetings and conduct the correspondence of the Church as directed by the Ministry Board

TREASURER and ASSISTANT TREASURER

Oversee the finances of the church

USHERS

To assist all who enter the sanctuary in a welcoming manner to provide the best possible opportunity for worship. Assist those who are actively involved in putting on the service as needed

WELCOME TEAM

Assist the congregation in providing a welcoming acceptance to each one who enters the doors of the church through various ways (Connection Center, Door Greeters, Coffee Cart, Director, Hospitality Hosts, Special Events)
